As the medical officer, you also struggle to have a logical conversation with the man. He is unwilling to tell you any details, such as his name or where he lives.

You attempt to conduct a physical examination but the man refuses and threatens to become violent if you do touch him. He does permit a member of the nursing team to take some basic vital signs.

Apart from some mild tachycardia 90 BPM the man's vital signs are within normal limits.

The local protocol is that you now need to contact the psychiatry registrar for a review.
