Psychopharmacology

In this brief course on psychopharmacology for medical students and trainee doctors, we utilize a case to illustrate some important points.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Briefly describe the actions of serotonin specific reuptake inhibitors
  • List common evidence-based indications for using SSRIs
  • Describe clinically important interactions between SSRIs and other drugs and substances, including symptoms, signs and the underlying mechanisms of the interactions
